Day 211 - Win by Cure
I noticed a slightly annoying glitch during the announcement of Horde Attacks. It didn't slide over to the location, but rather jumped, and made it very difficult if not impossible to locate your fort again. Possible fix would be an arrow or marker pointing at your fort, a jump to fort option, or having it slide over to the horde attack marker, rather than just jump the screen.
Aside from that, you lose just a bit on the art for the zombies during attacks, but otherwise a solid game. The only other issue I saw was that the survival and +Defense researches didn't seem to do much for me, though it may have been based on how far in I was.
Now, if you'll excuse me, there's a queue of Zed lining up in the shooting range... Keep up the good work.
Ragequit @ 42
I've never been able to stand repeated deaths like that, so it makes up for its difficulty with a bit of humor that keeps it from making you want to smash things, which is good. Only issue I noticed seemed to be a minor clipping issue where I actually fell through the floor once on level 42 (yes, while I was on the platform, and no, not at the section where I was supposed to jump). Not a huge thing, and it only happened once in the fifty some-odd times I attempted that level. Just thought I'd bring it up.
Keep up the good work.
A tiny bit buggy
Seems like a decent upgrade from the original Infectonator, though I noticed a handful of bugs.
Whenever a large amount of money was scattered and I attempted to collect it, the money seemed to randomly jump around the screen, and sometimes completely off-screen.
And on a few occasions, when the game was loading the next level, there was a large block of lag, and then the level would load with no people. It was kind of disappointing, because this has prevented me from getting the "Zombie XMAS" Achievement.
Other than those two glitches, the game is solid, and an improvement over the original, although the Santas could stand to have their attack power bumped down a notch, because they seem to wipe all your zombies without having Maxed Damage Resistance.
It's still a 5/5 10/10 from me, but it feels like it needs lyrics for some reason...
I'm going to download this and see what I can't come up with. ;3 I'll get back to you with that thought...
Haha sweet, let me know how that goes.
Room for Improvement
Now, this is an excellent submission, in my opinion.
One simple recommendation though. You may want to add some sort of vocal track to the background. Finale calls it 'Voice Oohs' or 'Choir Aahs', but I'm not sure. It would add a more spiritual/ghostly tone to it.
Other than that, it's very well done. ^^
Good idea. I did just that.
At first it kind of sounded weird with the pitch up so high, then I realized I was still wearing my headphones. XD
It may just be my volume settings, but it does seem a tad loud, even on around 50% of my volume. Other than that little goof on my part and the volume, everthing sounds great. 10/10, 5/5.
Also, I apologize if my review isn't that helpful. I'm still working on ways to come up with better criticism than "It was good" or "It was bad". :/
You seem to be progressing well in your goal, man, because that was helpful. Thanks for the 10 and the 5, man, I appreciate it.
